I guess there must be some sort of "stupidity" test one must take if applying to work in the photo department at Sprawl-Mart. I went there yesterday afternoon to print a few pics I had on CD. So technically I don't need any assistance from an employee until I'm ready to pay.
The first set of prints come out fine....until it's time to print the 5x7 photos. I'm waiting, waiting.....still waiting. I ask one of the stupid persons behind the counter how long it takes to print 5x7 photos. He (stupid employee #1) sarcastically replies "oh, about 10 seconds." So I tell him there must be a problem with this machine because I've been waiting 10 minutes. (I'd never printed enlargements, only regular prints. I was thinking that perhaps the enlargements took a bit longer.)
Anyway, he tells another person (stupid employee #2) behind the counter that I'm having trouble w/ the machine. So stupid employee #2 comes over and tells me that she'll have to track down a manager to get a key for the machine. Ten minutes later she shows up w/ a key and changes out something in the machine.
The screen now says "Problem with print order. Please seek assistance." Stupid employee #2 says "OK, it should work now." I point out that the screen says to seek assistance. She replies, "Oh, that should go away pretty soon." She stands there and stares at the screen and it continues to display the words "Please seek assistance." Hmmm, she says. She pushes a few buttons. Nothing. Hmmmm. She then calls on stupid employee #1 who says "I dunno." The machine finally spits out my pics (after being back there for 30 frickin' minutes) and I move to the other line to attempt to pay for my photos. Stupid employee #1 asks if he can help me. I say I need to pay for my pics. He says "I don't know how to work the register." So then stupid employee #2 says she'll help me and wants to know if I'd like her to cut the 5x7 photos down to size. I said sure, why not? Just then the phone rings and stupid employee #2 takes the call. It's for some stupid employee who isn't there, so stupid employee #2 proceeds to write a message.
No kidding, it took her 5 minutes to take a message. She finally gets my photos cut and I pay for my order.
Needless to say I'll be going to Walgreens from now on for all of my photo needs.
