I've got a big gripe toward the video game industry....in particular the company that makes Grand Theft Auto. Apparently the purpose of the game is to shoot as many police officers and bystanders as possible. The more blood and dead bodies the better. You also score big points for beating up women and stealing their purse, car, etc. Maybe it's just me, but I really don't see where the fun comes into this game.

And to top it off, a kid in Alabama is blaming this video game for his shooting spree that left 2 officers and an emergency dispatcher dead. Of course, his lawyers are going after the game manufacturer, because the damn game "trained" this kid to kill. Excuse me??? This kind of crap just pisses me off. Where in the hell were this kid's parents? Didn't they realize he was spending hours upon hours doing nothing but playing this freakin' game? Who bought it for him in the first place? Did the parents never say anything to this kid because it was easier for them to not have to deal with him and actually act like parents?

And don't get me started on the video game that re-enacts the assassination of President Kennedy.

Then there are the parents who are sueing McDonald's because their 10 year old kid weighs 250 pounds. First, what kind of parent lets their kid eat that crap on a daily basis? And second, if the parent claims to not know their child eats at McDonald's 4 time per day, where in the hell does the kid get the money for it?

Isn't it about time we stood up and started taking responsibility for ourselves and our kids? If not, society can only look forward to more of the blame game.
