Hi there. I'm Trish and this is my first attempt and a Web diary. My friend Sherry got me interested in doing this after reading her weblog. (it's really funny. you can check it out at http://sherrypg.diaryland.com)
Anyway, earlier this week my neighbor called and asked me if I would be a substitute with her Bunco group. Now I've heard of Bunco, but had NO IDEA what kind of game it was. I didn't know if it was a card game, board game, or if I should wear stretchy pants because it was akin to Twister. For those of you who don't know, it's a dice game. My friend said to come over about 7 p.m. I was the first to arrive, so I had first dibs on the choices of "adult" beverages. Wine, daquiries, Mud Slides and beer....a real smorgasboard. Everyone else arrived by 7:30 and we just sat around and drank and ate till 9 p.m., when one of the Bunco regulars finally insisted that we start the game. Bunco is actually quite simple. Well, it must be, because I was the big winner that evening! So I was able to leave with 10 bucks in my pocket. Not a bad take for a virgin Bunco player. And since I don't have the opportunity to partake of "adult" beverages very often, it's a good thing I lived close by and was able to walk home!
So if you ever get a call from a friend asking you to sub at Bunco, hop on the opportunity like white on rice. I promise you'll have a great time.
